netbook question

So just wondering how one can install a screne reader on a netbook without having to buy an optic usb drive? I'm thinking about getting a netbook but don't want to have to buy a drive to install my screne reader on. Are there netbooks that have them built in?

You would download a screenreader va the internet on to your netbook. However, you could ask a friend or do it yourself put the instilation files on a flash drive and install it that away. I have a nebook and I used my esternal drives but not everyone wants there bed room to look geeky. lol!

I just carry a usb dvd/cd drive with me, hook it up to the netbook when I need it and Gina´s your uncle.
I got mine for $49 but you can probably get them even cheaper.
That being said I have not had to use it for quite some time now and all major screen readers can be installed and activated via the internet, you just need a license code e.g. for Jaws.

download it to a flash drive and install it on the netbook that way or use something like www.satogo.com to download your screen reader and install it. satogo.com is a screen reader that works just by visiting that website so once thats running u can navigate to any other site and download and install your screen reader of choice .

Me I just asked a visiting lady friend to download mine. It's Jaws, so after it downloads it starts to talk and you can do the rest. Otherwise the suggestions here are good if you have another computer that has a screen reader.

like others have said, put your screen reader on a flash drive, then instal. nvda is good as a back up as well as using satogo.com to grab said screen reader

netbooks don't come with cd or dvd rom drives. like people have said, put everything on a u s b flashdrive or an external drive and just install from there. for me, since I use nothing but NVDA, all i had to do was after I installed windows and such, use narator and get to where I install or run a portible coppy of NVDA.
